Definition:
The entity that is the recipient of a transfer of a patent application, patent, trademark application or trademark registration from its owner of record.
Copyright
Definition:
Refers to the exclusive rights granted to an author or owner of a copyrightable work. (See FAQ Section 2.1 and 17 USC § 106.2)
Generic Name
Definition:
A word used by most people to name a class or category of product or service. No one person may have trademark rights to a generic name.
